Overview
Marlborough Global Bond invests in a highly diversified portfolio of around 200 bonds issued by companies and governments around the world, with the aim of paying an income while also achieving capital growth (increasing the value of your investment).
Company bonds are at the core of the investment strategy, representing up to 90% of the portfolio, while at least 10% is held in cash and/or investment-grade government bonds. Investment-grade means the body that issued them has a high capacity to repay the debt. No more than 25% of the fund will be invested in bonds rated below investment grade.
The fund managers seek to add value for investors by holding good-quality company bonds for the long-term, while also making shorter-term adjustments to the portfolio when he identifies attractive opportunities around the globe.
