Marlborough Far East Growth Fund
Overview
Marlborough Far East Growth is an equity fund focused on identifying exceptional companies in the Asia-Pacific region, excluding Japan. It is managed by a highly experienced team at Hong Kong’s BEA Union Investment, which is a joint venture by one of Germany’s largest asset managers, Union Investment, and Hong Kong’s biggest independent bank, the Bank of East Asia.
Fund manager Szu Fuei Chong and her team draw on the considerable global macroeconomic research resources of Union Investment, which they combine with their own detailed company analysis to construct a portfolio of between 50 and 70 businesses they believe have outstanding growth potential.
Their Stock Life Cycle Analysis process is designed to identify the companies with the strongest prospects. Businesses are categorised as high growth, stable growth, cyclical growth or mature growth and then assessed using criteria tailored to each category. The team’s approach is designed to ensure the fund is invested in the companies with the strongest growth potential at each stage in the economic cycle.
