Chart of the Week: Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree
Welcome to this week's 'Chart of the Week', where we share key market insights to help keep you informed on what's happening in the markets.
As 2024 draws to a close and we look ahead to 2025, I wanted to reflect on what has been an eventful and rewarding year. The ‘year of the ballot box’ is behind us, and the focus now shifts from politics to policy implementation. For many newly elected politicians, 2025 will be the year when they have to translate rhetoric into results.
For the Marlborough multi-asset solutions team, 2024 has been a year to remember. We’ve navigated markets in partnership with our clients, and many investors will have made progress toward achieving their financial goals.
Each year brings its own set of challenges and opportunities, and 2024 was no exception. One significant positive has been seeing inflation continue to ease. It’s encouraging to see the price of our Christmas turkeys, and many of the all-important trimmings, coming down this year, as the table below shows.
Personally, I’m looking forward to planting my own sprouts and carrots in the allotment next year, and professionally, I’m excited about continuing to work with all of our clients to help individuals achieve their financial objectives.
On behalf of the Marlborough multi-asset solutions team, I would like to thank all of our clients for placing their trust in us as their investment partner. We’re looking forward to continuing to work with you in 2025, and for many years to come.
Key takeaway: wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
